Our courses
You can complete our training courses on any device providing you are connected to the internet.
Yes. Even after you have completed a course you can review the training materials by logging in to your account with your username and password.
No! There is no time limit by which you must complete a course. You are free to learn at your own pace. You can complete a course in one go or over multiple sessions.
Yes. Our courses can be taken from anywhere in the world, as long as your device has internet connection. If you are taking the course from outside the U.K. make sure you check that it covers the legislation in your country.
Purchasing our courses
To purchase the course, simply click ‘Buy now’ on the product page and this will add the course to the basket where you will be able to check out.
If you are buying a single course for yourself once purchased you will be redirected to the course page where you can get started straight away.
If you have bought multiple courses for your staff you will be redirected to the group dashboard where you can add your staff, all you need is their names and email addresses.
If you are purchasing training for your employees, then you will need to select ‘multi-user’ option. You will then need to select the number of courses you need and enter a ‘group’ name. Then click ‘Buy now’ and proceed to the check out. Once you have checked out, you will be redirected to the group dashboard where you can add your staff. All you need is their names and email addresses.
Yes. Bulk discounts are automatically applied to orders. The discounts on bulk purchases are as follows:
- 10% discount when 10 or more courses are purchased
- 20% discount when 50 or more courses are purchased
- 30% discount when 100 or more courses are purchased
- 40% discount when 400 or more courses are purchased
Yes! If you want to pay by invoice email info@thesafetyexpert.co.uk and provide details of the number of courses you want to purchase.
Please note that access to the course will not be activated until payment has been received
Yes! When you checkout make sure you choose the PayPal option. If you chose to pay by PayPal we will use your PayPal email address to create the username for your training account.
When purchasing the course for someone else, make sure you select the ‘multi-user’ option. Then enter the details of the cardholder.
Once you have purchased the course, you will be redirected to the group dashboard where you can add your staff, all you need is their names and email addresses. They will then receive an email inviting them to create an account and access the course.

Logging into your account
If you have bought a single course for yourself: you will be redirected to the course page and can get started right away.
If you have bought multiple courses for your staff: you will be redirected to the group dashboard where you can add your staff, all you need is their names and email addresses.

Assessment and certificates
Yes. You can retake the exam as many times as you need at no extra cost.
Once you have completed the course and passed the exam you will be able to download a certificate, which can be printed or saved to your device. A copy of the certificate will also be emailed to you.
Yes! The online exam is marked automatically. You will be able to download a copy of your certificate immediately upon successful completion of the exam. A copy of the certificate will also be emailed to you immediately.
No. We do not send printed certificates. Once you have completed the course and passed the exam you will be able to download a digital certificate, which can be printed or saved to your device. A copy of the digital certificate will also be emailed to you. Self-printed or digital certificates are accepted by EHOs.
No. The certificates have a pass date. There is no expiration date, but it is recommended that food handlers refresh their knowledge every 3 years. The recommended renewal date is provided on the certificate.
Yes! This is no problem we will change this free of charge for you. Simply reach out to us by emailing info@thesafetyexpert.co.uk
Yes! You can log in to your training account and download a PDF replacement at any time.
